Hamilton Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) offers four electricity options, described below. You will also find information in order to compare Hamilton CCA products to National Grid Basic Service.
The following applies to all Hamilton CCA products starting in December 2023.
Duration
The costs for all Hamilton CCA products are fixed for 24 months, from December 2023 through end of December 2025. Hamilton will use another competitive bidding process to secure a new supply contract once this time period has concluded.
Renewable Energy
All Hamilton CCA options include minimum percentages of renewable energy required by the State. Two of the options have extra renewable energy included, classified as MA Class I. Details on the sources of the extra renewable energy are found on the pricing and renewable energy page.
No Penalties
At any time, participants can do the following without penalty:
- Switch between any option in Hamilton CCA
- Leave any Hamilton CCA option and return to National Grid Basic Service
Applicability
The price of each Hamilton CCA product is the same for all customer types: Residential, Commercial and Industrial.

Please note: Prices for all program options in the Hamilton CCA Program include a 0.001 ¢/kWh administration fee. Program prices could increase as a result of a change in law that results in a direct, material increase in costs during the term of the electricity supply agreement. Program prices apply only to the electricity supply portion of your National Grid electric bill. Delivery charges on your National Grid electric bill are not affected by the Hamilton CCA program.
Future savings against National Grid’s fixed Basic Service rate cannot be guaranteed because National Grid’s rates change every six months for residential and commercial customers and every three months for industrial customers.
