Hamilton Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) offers four electricity options, described below. You will also find information in order to compare Hamilton CCA products to National Grid Basic Service.
The following applies to all Hamilton CCA products starting in December 2020.
The costs for all Hamilton CCA products are fixed for three years, from December 2020 through end of December 2023. Hamilton will use another competitive bidding process to secure a new supply contract once this time period has concluded.
All Hamilton CCA options include minimum percentages of renewable energy required by the State. Two of the options have extra renewable energy included, classified as MA Class I. Details on the sources of the extra renewable energy are found on the clean energy page.
At any time, participants can do the following without penalty:
- Switch between any option in Hamilton CCA
- Leave any Hamilton CCA option and return to National Grid Basic Service
The price of each Hamilton CCA product is the same for all customer types: Residential, Commercial and Industrial.
